FAQs

What if I have a question that is not listed here?
Wonderful! Any questions that you might have can only make me better at what I can do. Please email me with anything - even if you think it is not that important. If I think it will help others, I will post it on this page also.

How do I know if my pouch fits correctly?
It should never be incredibly difficult to get baby into the pouch, nor should baby be bouncing around on your hip. Baby should feel snug and secure, but able to breathe! It is pretty simple – just make sure both of you are comfortable and baby feels good and settled in.

Any suggestions for safe use of this product?
Why I thought you would never ask. Let's face it, even the smartest of women sometimes fall subject to poor judgment. Here are a few things to remember when using a baby carrier (of any kind).

Be responsible! Use common sense while wearing baby in ANY situation.

Inspect your carrier on a regular basis. Fabric can wear and seams can become weak after time. When in doubt – toss it out. Even a $200 carrier is not worth baby’s safety.

Always fully support baby until you are sure they are totally secure in the pouch.

Pay attention to yourself and baby around anything hot or sharp. (cooking, cleaning, etc.)

Do not bend at the waist and dump your child out when bending down. Bend at the knee and be sure to support baby with at least one hand while doing so.

A baby pouch is not a car seat and should not be substituted as one AT ANYTIME.

A baby pouch does not come with a helmet, and baby should not be brought along for a bicycle, tricycle, or even a unicycle ride unless restrained in the proper equipment.

If at anytime you or your child feels insecure in the carrier – stop immediately and try to reposition. If after taking your child out and trying to reposition them still leaves you unsure – discontinue use until you get the situation mended.

How do I know what size of pouch to order?
Although this is obviously the most important step in ordering your baby pouch, don't let it make you crazy. All pouches are made from fabrics that allow for a bit of stretch. In fact, I have been using the same pouch with my daughter for 8 months now. She has gained about 7 1/2 lbs., and I have lost about 15. So as you can see, they are pretty versitile. Most people will be able to wear more than one size and only notice that one might feel a little more snug or loose than the other. But please email me if you are still unsure. I am happy to help!
